Way back in 2009, before Instagram, and before people put their entire lives on YouTube, my friend Thomas and I left our day jobs and made this self-produced travel series.

For each episode of This Is My City, we would find a local who is willing to show us what life is really like in their city. With a few small cameras, and a desire to explore new cultures and places, we set off on a 3 month world trip.

This Is My City is a show about what cities mean to the people who live in them, brought to you in the most personal way. It’s not about seeing the sights; it’s about seeing the soul.

This is a self-funded, self-made passion project. We sourced all of the music, edited and released the series ourselves in a time when you couldn’t monetize content online.
